This week’s HS | On The Menu feature is about The Milk Bar Coffee Co. | When I hear the words, ‘Savoury Pancake’ I go weak at the knees & scream like a little 14 year old girl attending their first Justin Bieber concert.

I get overwhelmed and have hold myself back from those happy tears! So yeah, I love a good Savoury Pancake.

When legendary owner of The Milk Bar Coffee Co., Alex Cossell mentioned he was going to add a delicious Cabbage Pancake to his meno, I think I squealed a little, then pretended I didn’t and just gave him a slap on the back and without any hesitation said I would be back to get that bad boy in my throat.

Alex is an absolute lord and he presents that through what he creates and plates up so I was super excited about what I was about to clean up off that plate – A Cabbage Pancake with Miso Glazed Carrots, Pickled Fennel, Dill, Sesame + Chilli Mayo… I needed a Hrvst St juice that was going to work nicely with these ingredients so I went with a crowd favourite, Ruby Tuesday – Watermelon, Rhubarb, Pink Lady Apple, Pear & Lime

It was just a powerhouse combination both the Cabbage Pancake & the Ruby Tuesday. They both exploded with next level, ultimate flavour! It was a moment I will never forget.

If you’re on the Sunshine Coast, I highly recommend popping in and grabbing this powerhouse couple combo. Not only is it next-level delicious but it is served up by a couple of the biggest legends you will ever meet, honestly, Alex, Emmi, JemJem & Blake will provide you with the breakfast and the lols and you will honestly leave feeling good about yourself. (Dat customer service though…10/10)
